A.B. Energy, LLC is a Montana-based oil and gas company founded in 2011. Our headquarters is located at 574 Laird Road, Chester, MT 59522—about 30 miles north of Chester and just 6 miles from the Canadian border. The company is owned and operated by Arnie G. Woods and his son, Bo D. Woods. Both were born and raised in Liberty County, growing up on their family’s farm and ranch north of Chester. Their deep roots in the community, along with their extensive industry experience, have shaped A. B. Energy into a reliable and knowledgeable energy company.
Arnie G. Woods has spent more than 50 years working in the oil and gas industry. He started his career in 1970 with Cardinal Drilling Company and later gained experience with Phillips Petroleum, Great Northern Drilling, Branch Oil and Gas, Western Natural Gas, FX Drilling, and Athena Energy. Throughout his career, he has been involved in nearly every aspect of the industry, including drilling, well completions, production operations, rework projects, and general oil and gas development. His decades of hands-on experience and deep understanding of the industry have made him a highly respected figure in Montana’s energy sector.
Bo D. Woods follows in his father’s footsteps, contributing to the company with his own expertise and commitment to the business. Together, they manage A.B. Energy, LLC with a focus on responsible oil and gas exploration and development. They prioritize efficiency, safety, and environmental responsibility while working to maximize production. Their long-standing connection to the land and industry allows them to approach resource development with a balance of tradition and innovation.
